More Beautiful Bavarian

My posts about Bavarian crochet have generated so much interest. So by popular demand here is a little more.

The finished baby blanket.

I love the colours in this one - contrast and blending.

The pink one has a slightly different middle so that it is an oblong and the blue grey etc. one is a square. All this has given me an idea for another experiment: you probably know that Bavarian crochet is a repeating pattern of two rows of each colour which produce the little squares, I am going to try changing colour in the middle of a little square - how daring! I will share the results later.

If you want to try it yourself I can recommend 'Learn to do Bavarian Crochet' which is an Annie's Attic Book by Jenny King. Lovely clear instructions and projects. If you want to buy some Bavarian crochet then click on over to our shop (while stocks last).
Must go now and check Sunday dinner.
